Marketing Communications Manager


Main Objective

The purpose of this role is to work with the Marketing Communications Manager in planning, executing and evaluating the marketing programs of Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars in the Middle East & Levant. Active involvement in all above-the-line marketing topics and project ownership of select assigned product categories.


The job role includes coordination of media planning, briefing and steering of external suppliers and agencies.




Product Marketing

  • To support the Marketing Communications Manager in developing and executing regional marketing activities according to business and brand objectives for assigned vehicle segments and models
  • Marketing ownership of respective segments and models during the entire product lifecycle
  • Execution and project management of above-the-line media campaigns across all channels from gathering of global advertising assets to regional and local artwork adaptation and post-evaluation of effectiveness of media campaigns
  • Briefing and project management of external agencies and suppliers
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to leverage synergies and ensure effectiveness and efficiency in product marketing
  • Collaboration with General Distributors (GDs) in providing guidance and direction on global and regional marketing strategy, as well as adaptation and execution of
  • local marketing plans
  • Direct contact for GDs regarding ad-hoc and day-to-day marketing requests for assigned vehicle segments and models
  • Alignment with Brand Marketing division and Public Relations to ensure synergies are leveraged and marketing programs are executed effectively and efficiently


Retail Marketing

  • Collaboration with Brand Marketing division to translate regional brand events and brand activations into retail marketing concepts
  • Sign responsible for developing assets and communications material to support GDs


Best Customer Experience (BCE)

  • Support the Marketing Communications Manager in planning, designing and implementing the roll-out of all BCE elements (concerning Marketing & Communications), including Mercedes me connect
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Network Development, Sales, After Sales, IT, Training, HQ Germany, BCE other markets) to ensure timely and effective roll-out of new customer-facing services

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Marketing, preferably in above-the-line marketing
  • Automotive marketing experience is a Plus
  • Experience in international or cross-border marketing campaigns
  • Knowledge of regional media channels from print, outdoor, radio, TV, digital & online (previous media planning experience is a Plus)
  • Solid project management experience and ability to prioritize and work on several projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent English skills (in writing and verbally) is a must; Arabic and/or German a plus
