Reporting to

General Manager Mercedes-Benz Trucks

Main Objective

Set up and implement a suitable Used Truck business in the MENA region by adapting the SelecTrucks concept to the DCV MENA and General Distributors (GD) needs and requirements. Prepare a roll-out plan for the MENA region and support and coach the GDs for the same. Maintain good relationship with the local authorities and GDs to sustain and develop new and existing business segments. Define and prepare the roll-out of the Used Truck retail standards.


Adaptation of SelecTrucks concept

  • Analyse the requirements of the General Distributors of MENA region in terms of Used Trucks business.
  • Prioritisation of requirements of General Distributors and DCV MENA regarding Used Truck business and SelecTrucks.
  • Alignment between General Distributors and DCV MENA for used trucks requirements.
  • Further development of tools and standards for SelecTrucks for MENA region.
  • Alignment between DCV MENA requirements and marketing/trademark departments.

SelecTrucks Online

  • Support of General Distributors regarding implementation and launch of SelecTrucks Online.
  • Ensure the coordination of domain right and trademark for General Distributor markets with Mercedes-Benz Headquarters (trademark and domain rights are centrally secured by Daimler AG).

Support of General Distributor

  • Support for the initial launch of the SelecTrucks dealer website.
  • Provide SelecTrucks manual and tools.
  • Consultation regarding marketing requirements of the General Distributors.

Support of Market Management

  • Methodical and processual support for the market management regarding SelecTrucks.
  • Alignment of Roll-Out planning and roll-out resources.
  • Prioritisation of further development and needed tools with the market management

SelecTrucks Centers

  • Establish Used Trucks centers “SelecTrucks” in selected markets of the region in coordination and under guidance of the network department Mercedes-Benz Trucks and according SelecTrucks standards.
  • Act as a consultant and coach for General Distributors for the setup and implementation of the Used Truck business.


  • Establish and cultivate contacts and connections with all world-wide Daimler Used Truck Managers to support know-how transfer, benchmark processes and price developments and levels.

Residual Value table

  • Prepare and maintain residual value calculation for used vehicles in MENA region.
  • Ensure consistent price calculation and residual calculation for the promoted vehicles in MENA region.

  • Knowledge of the Commercial Vehicles industry is mandatory (min. 3 years).
  • Commercial Vehicles Retail (used) experience.
  • Experience in wholesale (new and used trucks business) preferable.
  • Knowledge of the Daimler Truck product portfolio and its competitors.
  • Knowledge of the logistic, transportation and construction industry in the Middle East and North Africa preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Used Vehicles.
  • Languages - English is mandatory; Arabic, German and/or French is preferred.


  • Graduate Degree in Business Management, Business Engineering or equivalent qualification
