  • Operational Excellence, procurement & administration manager

Main Objective

  • Procurement of non-production material and services, ensuring that they are of the required technical quality and that the best prices and delivery terms have been negotiated
  • Maintaining, modifying and constant monitoring of active supplier base by analysing the market and the products and services available





  • Research and report on optimum procurement solutions based on time, cost and quality to ensure fit for purpose equipment and supplies
  • Ensuring that all procurement is synchronized against demand and within budget 
  • Maintain a centralized vendor database for all categories
  • Promote a Continuous Improvement philosophy and strive toward an ambitious savings targets with a view to eliminate cost/waste at MBCME
  • Reviewing and evaluating tenders and quotations in accordance with procurement processes
  • Sourcing & Procurement non-production material and services for internal customers in line with administrative and operational requirements, negotiating the most favorable contract terms / conditions possible, in order to achieve best value. Where appropriate for the procurement process, liaising with departments to plan accordingly

  • Supplier Analysis and Negotiation

  • Prepares and issues agreements and orders and any procurement related amendment. Ensures proper approval levels as per the MBCME Authorization / Approval Matrix. Resolves ordering parties’ complaints about quality, delivery times and cost with suppliers

Reporting & Compliance

  • Maintain proper records of procurement related activities for any future reference or audit requirements
  • Vendor Performance Rating and Management
  • Custodian of Procurement Group policy decisions. Researches and implements new methods for optimizing procurement processes/controls
  • Regular communication (meetings) with other departments to improve relationships/contact and identify problems with suppliers at an early stage, as well as carrying out internal customer surveys
  • Ensure that the processes, procedures and related timelines comply with organization's standard Procurement Processes & Policies
