Head of Sales FUSO

 

Main Objective

  • Support the Sales Manager in handling the assigned markets
  • Based on the guidance of sales manager visit business partners, dealers and customers to build a comprehensive picture of market & product requirements as required
  • Support the sales manager in compiling market intelligence, update regular reporting templates, monitor applications and segments in the market, define and implement product plans
  • Support the sales managers in making pricing proposals & sales concepts for increasing sales in assigned markets to support / guide distributors in reaching / exceeding target volumes / market share
  • Support order management functions of MFTBC and DICV to ensure on time execution of incoming orders
  • Manage inventory to the appropriate level for each market (i.e. pipeline control)
  • Track the regulations in the market and take necessary steps to proactively comply with the regulations and adapt to the changes quickly
  • Support the sales manager in achieving the strategic objectives of Trucks Asia, namely value based selling, retail sales and customer service competency requirements (HR recruitment and training), retail sales tools (e.g. financing tools, maintenance packages, etc.), network tools (planning and standards) are implemented by the business partner, via close coordination with customer services and supporting functions
  • Proactively create and utilize opportunities to educate all levels of staff within the business partner on the products
  • Ensure that all business conduct is in accordance with the relevant Daimler policies

Responsibilities

Market Management - Sales

  • Define the sales targets based on the market environment and company’s internal targets and achieve the targets
  • Support / Steer the distributors towards their annual sales plan and meet their targets
  • Periodic reports on the markets
  • Assessing & managing opportunities & risks (Fleet Support)
  • Coordinate with order management & support team to ensure order execution

Product Portfolio Management

  • Co-ordinate with Product Management (PM) to have the right product portfolio for the assigned markets
  • Track regulation changes / market needs to communicate to PM on time to make the necessary product changes

Product Launches

  • Pricing / price approvals of the launch models
  • Sales readiness of the GDs to launch the new models
  • Completion of Customer Driving Trials of the new models
  • Supporting the distributors in the launch activities

  • Ensure adherence to all the policies and standards at all the times
  • Commitment to the culture of integrity within the organisation and also with business partners

Knowledge/Skill/Experience

  • Commercial Vehicles Sales / Product Management background
  • Commercial Vehicles Sales experience (in the Middle East/ or North Africa) would be an advantage
  • Commercial vehicle product knowledge and skills about trucks
  • Cultural knowledge or experience of Middle east and/or North Africa region preferable
  • Good analytical, negotiation and communication skills
  • English is a must, French and/or Arabic would be beneficial

Qualification

  • Graduate Degree/qualification in (Automotive) Engineering / Business Administration
