    Director Sales & Marketing Mercedes-Benz Cars


    Main Objective

    • Achieve Sales targets including a set of related KPI’s across all channels
    • Define and agree with GD’s monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets
    • Guide and coach General Distributors to achieve respective targets
    • Develop and implement business plans with General Distributors to strengthen the future performance of Mercedes-Benz and its sub-brands (Mercedes AMG, smart, Mercedes Maybach) in the Middle East Region

    • Support the operational and strategic planning for sales volume related topics

    • Develop, implement and track sales campaigns within budgets to ensure the achievement of overall targets

    • Liaise with counterparts in the headquarter in Stuttgart as well as with counterparts in the Dubai office to support the success of the team

    • Develop a high performing sales culture in the Mercedes-Benz Cars sales department





    • Lead a team of Regional Market Managers, Corporate Manager, Used Car Manager and Sales Programme Manager responsible for the Middle East Region
    • Implement Individual Development Plans
    • Be responsible for the goal setting process, review and evaluate performance and provide feedback to employees on a regular basis
    • Motivate and develop the Mercedes-Benz Cars sales team role modelling modern leadership principles to establish a high performance culture

    General Distributors Middle East

    • Manage annual target setting for both retail and wholesale and monitor throughout the year
    • Ensure GD’s annual retail and wholesale plan matches that of the manufacturer and gain buy in from GD to shared plan
    • Maintain positive and professional relationship with GM’s & GSM’s
    • Define sales & marketing measures to achieve targets
    • Ensure Know-How of market environments and dynamics are gained by the Regional Market Manager team are fed back into the organisation and ensure actions taken to ensure best sales results
    • Monitor compliance and ensure business practices are in line with Daimler AG policies

    Daimler AG HQ/Overseas Region

    • Give input into operational and strategic planning based on quantitative and qualitative aspects
    • Give input into monthly sales planning and reporting for volume and sales channels splits
    • Co-ordinate with direct sales department in Stuttgart and General Distributors in regards to government business
    • Collaborate with the Fleet and Used Car development teams at region Overseas
    • Facilitate best practice sharing and joint programme development
    • Ensure monthly reporting is submitted

    Mercedes-Benz Cars Middle East

    • Pro-actively develop and implement sales campaigns and tactical measures on a quarterly basis incl. alignment with the Financial Controlling Department
    • Develop and implement General Distributor business / marketing plans per individual market
    • Manage relationships between all stakeholders within the Mercedes-Benz Cars Middle East Office
    • Review and improve where necessary the GD Variable margin programme & CSI programme to ensure sales / CSI objectives are met

    • Wholesale and Retail sales experience in the automotive business of min. 5 years

    • Cultural knowledge/experience of Middle East region preferable

    • English is a must, with German and Arabic optional
