Head of Sales Daimler Buses


Main Objective

  • Responsible for Order Management
  • Assist RSMs in preparation of offers (EvoBus, MBBras and DICV products)
  • Responsible for short-term Planning and Reporting
  • Responsible for high quality data basis, including data consistency, integrity and security
  • Responsible for data collection (from GDs, RSMs, EvoBus)
  • Support Market Review Meetings, Operative Planning and Strategic Planning
  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis or reports and presentations (e.g. for OBM)
  • Responsible for Quota Management, including production allocation and quota distribution
  • Ensure completeness of Planning & Reporting process documentation and user guides
  • Support Product Marketing/Marketing communications /Event Management activities
  • Coordinate Sales Marketing and Communication activities with Daimler Headquarters, within the RC MENA and General Distributors & Authorized Dealers
  • Provide support to partners in the network related to their national Marketing & Communication activities and monitor & report the respective activities
  • Provide General Market Support



Order Management

  • Management of market inquiries and offer related matters in co-ordination with Regional Sales Managers (RSM)
  • Preparation of offers according to market requirements through IT-systems (e.g. Novis, MBKS, DMS)
  • Coordination of order inputs with RSMs, GDs, EvoBus and Production plants (EvoBus, MBT, MBBras, DICV)
  • Follow-up of orders for markets in regard to production, technical correctness, delivery time, logistics, etc through IT-systems (e.g. SAP, Afab)
  • Support GDs in all offer and order related matters

Planning and Reporting 

  • Coordination of the short-term and long term planning process assuring to meet given deadlines (e.g. KuFri, actuals, target fulfilment, OP)
  • Responsible for all short-term related reports in the agreed time line to EvoBus, internal management and General Distributors (e.g. Monthly report, Country report)


  • Assist in developing annual marketing plan and communication with GD network
  • Assist in monitoring GD’s on-going marketing campaigns and develop reporting process 
  • Support developing annual marketing communication plan, prepare marketing & communication material in line with Daimler Buses CI requirements
  • Support developing marketing and sales tools (brochures, data sheets, argumentations, training content)

Data Collection and Data Quality

  • Responsible for data collection from various sources (e.g. GDs, RSMs, EvoBus) and IT systems (e.g. Afab, Novis) 
  • Responsible for data reporting (reported information must be consistent) 
  • Ensure correct reporting by GDs

Quota Management 

  • Communicate production allocation deadlines on a monthly basis to GD’s

Ad-hoc Analysis, Reports and Presentations

  • Support internal management with preparation of ad-hoc analysis, reports and presentations

General Support

  • Provide market support to the Regional Sales Managers
  • Assist the General Distributors with offer, order and reporting related topics

  • Knowledge of Automotive Industry especially commercial vehicles and buses, and Business Intelligence
  • Experience in Planning/Reporting, Controlling or Order Management
  • Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Excel in specific and Microsoft Office in general
  • Middle East region cultural experience preferred
  • English compulsory fluent in written and spoken commands; Arabic, German and/or French is a plus qualification
  • Graduate in Business Administration, Information Technology or similar
