    General Manager Mercedes-Benz Vans


    Main Objectives

    • Support and assistance for all Van related Product Marketing / Marketing communications / Event Management activities
    • Closely coordinate and align Sales Marketing and Communication activities with Daimler Headquarters, within the RC MENA (in particular the Market Management & Product Management) and General Distributors & Authorized Dealers
    • Provide guidance and support to partners in the network related to their national Marketing & Communication activities and monitor & report the respective activities
    • Support in the implementation and maintenance of marketing processes and measures in accordance with corporate standards and principles (e.g. CI) and the Mercedes-Benz Vans Marketing Strategy
    • Coordinate the development of defined marketing measures with the respective agencies. Monitor measurements and KPI sets to analyze the respective outcomes


    Operational Marketing Mercedes-Benz Vans

    • Primary task is to support and coordinate the launch of the regional website
    • Monitor the defined measures in the Annual Regional Marketing & Communication Plan for Sales and ensure effectiveness of activities
    • Communicate and monitor defined Marketing Campaigns for MB Vans
    • Support GDs in executing their individual Marketing & Communication Plans for Sales with accurate and sufficient collateral
    • Quarterly GD marketing activity monitoring reports
    • Transfer continuously Marketing/ Communication know-how to the GD network in order to further professionalize CV network
    • Ensure that the media pool, respective GD marketing plans and budgets are uploaded and updated on VanShare

    Event Management

    • Support the implementation of defined MB Vans / Commercial Vehicles events
    • Support the implementation of product launch related events
    • Ensure all launch material has been received by GD’s through follow up’s
    • Coordinate with procurement (internally) and agencies (externally) to ensure all the relevant information has been communicated for the best possible outcome

    Communications Mercedes-Benz Vans

    • Ensure CAS checks and press test drives are conducted in a timely manner
    • Monitor the regional press releases of Mercedes-Benz and relevant competitors
    • Support for application of Mercedes-Benz Vans CI-Standards on all related communication material including proof reading

    Support Marketing Management Mercedes-Benz Vans

    • Close coordination with product management to ensure website and other marketing content is accurate
    • Assist in the preparation of the Annual Regional Marketing & Communication Plan for Sales
    • Monitor annual General Distributor (GD) Marketing & Communications Plan for all GDs
    • Creatively suggest and eventually prepare material for social posts

    Marketing Administration

    • Monitor and report Marketing budgets in the respective area of responsibility (GD Contribution, Campaigns, Events, PR)
    • Ensure the adherence to set processes and procedures when it comes to Procurement and Accounting 

    Personal Development

    • Degree in Management, Marketing (optional)
    • Basic marketing and administrative experience
    • Microsoft Office knowledge especially MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
    • Analytical/coordinative skills; creative thinking - structured acting; brand and customer-orientation
    • English as a must. Arabic preferable
    • Experience in the Automotive Industry
