  • Overview


    Head of Sales & Customer Services FUSO Regional Centre Africa


    Main Objectives

    • Development of select General Distributors and its dealer body in order to ensure Sales growth and target achievement for the Central African region
    • Brand development and market management in responsible markets


    New Vehicle Sales Target Management Central Africa

    • Ensure achievement of the target for NV sales
    • Build up strategy for the realization of the target for NV sales
    • Support co-ordination of NV sales process and product/price positioning for responsible market
    • Coaching and qualification of sales personnel
    • Support and direction to responsible General distributor in day-to-day business
    • Co-ordinate customer approaches in fleet business
    • Support definition of NV sales targets (quantitative and qualitative)

    Market Management Central Africa

    • Ensure brand image in responsible markets
    • Finalize and update Warranty terms in responsible markets
    • Maintain awareness of Market Scenario and competition landscape in responsible markets.
    • Strengthen brand image through marketing events and customer visits
    • Support Product Manager for coordination of vehicle specifications and other product related matters per market
    • Support & co-ordination with the Customer Service department in regards to customer satisfaction and General Distributor performance

    Compliance and Integrity

    • Ensure a sustainable Environment of Compliance and Integrity in area of responsibility
    • Determine applicability, Initiate & Coordinate compliance approvals
    • Conduct regular CAS Checks for all known customers, business delegations and participants

    Headquarters Tokyo and Chennai

    • Support operational planning per year based on market for quantitative and qualitative aspects
    • Price positioning on fleet deals with proper approval process
    • Co-ordination with Treasury department to ensure on time payments by L/C if applicable
    • Coordination of logistics with relevant department in Daimler HQ

    Personal Development

    • Regular training on leading people for preparation/development
    • Regular product information updates
    • Execute delegated authority for Manager / team member when required
    • Regular training and updates on compliance issues
    • Personal development trainings in regards to management qualifications
    • Regular training on sales tools and internal processes


    • Investigation into used truck market potentials by market
    • Co-ordination with bodybuilders in regards to sales potentials/tenders
    • Co-ordination of Aftersales activities with Daimler Africa
    • Co-ordination of Network development issues with Daimler Network Development team in Regional centre Africa

    • Extensive knowledge of the Automotive, Commercial Vehicle and Logistics Industry
    • Wholesale and/or Retail sales experience in the commercial vehicle business of min. 5-8 years
    • Good negotiating and communication skills
    • Customer focused and familiar in working with partners (internal and external)
    • Market development, financial analysis, planning experience
    • Leadership experience preferable
    • Engineering background / thorough technical understanding of commercial vehicles
    • Cultural knowledge of the Middle East / African region
    • English as a must. Japanese and/or French preferable


    • Graduate Degree in Engineering/BusinessManagement or equivalent qualification
